Fly-fishing at Schloss Dornbach
Schloss Dornbach is opening its gates for the first time. Very cautiously, for fly-fishing.
Normally the castle is not open to the public, but that is changing, at least in part. About one hectare, around the inner courtyard and the castle lake, of the 300 hectare property is being used in future for fly-fishing.
Brown and rainbow trout, brook trout and a fish known locally as Lax’n live in the castle lake.

€ 15,- = per day & adult
€ 10,- = per day & child til 10 years
€ 17,- = per kilo of fish, the fish are weighed and charged

Fishing expert Markus Kaaser will give an all-day taster course on fly-fishing.
In addition, during the season there will be several weekend courses.

Fishing in the mountain-lake (1.700m)

Fishermen will enjoy fishing at its best. By the lakes right below the hut you can try your luck. You will have to gut the trouts which you will catch by yourself before you take them to the hut where the hostess of the hut will fry your trout ("Müllerin Art") and serve it with herb butter and brown homemade bread.
